Tuffon Hall Delivery Policy

1. Introduction

This Delivery Policy forms part of the terms and conditions of sale for purchases made through our website http://www.tuffonhall.co.uk (“Website”). It sets out how and when you can expect to receive your order from B & J Crowther Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. Delivery area

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only, excluding Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man.

Due to updated rules and regulations governing alcohol distribution, we are unable to offer international shipping at this time.


3. Delivery charges

  • The standard delivery charge for mainland England and the Scottish Lowlands is £12.00 per order.
  • We offer free delivery on all orders over £75 to mainland England and the Scottish Lowlands.
  • Additional delivery charges may apply to remote areas of Scotland and will be confirmed prior to dispatch.

All delivery charges are displayed at checkout before payment is made.


4. Delivery service

We use APC’s Fragile Service for the delivery of all orders unless otherwise specified. This specialist service ensures that our products — particularly glass bottles and fragile items — are handled with extra care.

All deliveries require a signature on receipt. Please ensure that someone over the age of 18 is available to accept and sign for the delivery at the address provided.


5. Delivery times

We aim to dispatch all orders as promptly as possible. Please allow up to four working days from the date of order confirmation for delivery.

Working days are defined as Monday to Friday, excluding bank and public holidays. During periods of high demand (for example, harvest, Christmas, or promotional events), delivery times may be extended — in which case we will notify you by email.


6. Missed deliveries and redelivery

If you are not available to receive your parcel, APC will leave a calling card with details of how to rearrange delivery or collect your parcel from a local depot.

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful and no further instructions are received within 7 days, the goods may be returned to us.

Redelivery may incur an additional charge.


7. Collection

Collection from Tuffon Hall Vineyard may be arranged by appointment only.

Please email info@tuffonhall.co.uk to check availability and confirm a collection time.

Collections can only be made once an order confirmation email has been received and the appointment has been approved.


8. Delivery restrictions (age verification)

As our products contain alcohol, we operate a strict Challenge 25 policy in compliance with UK licensing law.

The recipient must be at least 18 years old and may be required to provide valid identification upon delivery or collection.

If suitable proof of age cannot be provided, the delivery will be refused, and the order may be returned to us.


9. Damaged or missing items

We take great care in packing your order. However, if your parcel arrives damaged or items are missing, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt by emailing info@tuffonhall.co.uk, including your order number and, where possible, photographs.

We will arrange a replacement or a refund, as appropriate, once the issue has been verified.


10. Risk and ownership

All goods remain our property until full payment has been received. Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery or collection.
